How important?
How important are your feelings? As important as anything. We don’t always remember the facts about a happening but we can usually remember how we felt during it. A scientist, Candace Pert, has actually identified feelings as chemicals. Childhood learning is done within the framework of feelings. Relationships continue to be maintained by feelings. Sometimes we talk about supportive environments. It is what we need if we are to grow emotionally and yes even intellectually. If we don’t have it, we get so stressed we are prevented from growing in the right direction. If in childhood and still in adulthood we are met with constant negative feedback and a lack of reinforcement that we are worthy, growth is hard.
